The Time is Drawing Near

Hi everyone and Happy New Year
I wanted to let you in on some updates on Rose.
First of all thank you all for your contributions to see that Rose has access to the Dr for surgery. You have given Rose a chance to life again. Now the rest of the work rests in God's hands with your prayers.

On Dec 23, 2013 we were able to obtain the complete amount of the money needed for the surgery. We had hoped that she could go in for the surgery during the Christmas holiday. However, when we contacted to the hospital, they postponed the surgery to early Jan as they were going home for the holidays.

Here is Jan and we have made contact with the doctors again. If everything goes as planned, Rose will be transferred to the MEMFY hospital in Enugu Nigeria on Monday of next week.  (Please pray that this date is set in stone as we have had to reschedule twice due to her husband having "housekeeping" issues that he feels needs to be taken care of prior to going for the surgery. We need his full cooperation.)
At the on-set of this last effort to help Rose, we defined Rose's need in three stages of miracles. And here they are:

Miracle #1 : Diagnosis (accomplished)
Miracle #2: Raise the needed amount for surgery (accomplished)
Miracle #3: Successful surgery and Rose's recovery (Pending)

In order to get to the last of these miracles we need your prayer!
Pray for no more delays and that any remaining logistics will not eat up any more time
Pray for God's strength and wisdom on the doctors and nurses,
Pray for courage, strength, and courage for Rose.
Pray against infection after surgery

We will be tracking the time and events as Rose goes to surgery and will be updating you with the most current information on her progress. Rose has been informed that she will be headed to the hospital for surgery.

This is all we know for now and will keep you all posted shortly.  Thank you for all of your texts, calls, emails, facebook messages and personal conversations asking about how Rose is.  We appreciate each and every one of you!  Keep praying please!

Love,
Barnabas and Amanda on behalf of the entire Agwuocha family!
