3 Miracles

Firstly we want to thank you all for your prayers and support.  Through your giving we have been able to send Rose this past week for her MRI.  Here is a clip of what my initial conversation looked like when I received word

 Here is what my brother in law Reverened Charles said :

They ran two tests on her: MRI and Contact Test, an extra test like I suspected. They confirmed the tumor between c5 and c6 as well as a lot of fluid building up along the spine. That is why she is in much distress. According to the doctors, she is fast losing her sensation and locomotion.  In the next six months to a year, if we don’t do something, the whole system may collapse. In fact the doctors were wondering why she is still breathing and moving, their conclusion is that “it is a Miracle” I prayed that the miracle will come to final fulfillment and they said, Amen to that!

Thus the FIRST MIRACLE

After getting the prognosis we asked the obvious question...How much? We knew that this stage would be costly and are not surprised by the cost but are just wondering how the Lord will provide this amount in the short amount of time needed. This is going to cost around $8-10 thousand dollars. Ah yes that is what I said! This amount is all inclusive including her physical therapy afterward. We know that with the holidays around the corner that everyone's budget is already stretched and  is no easy task.  We have to trust that God knows her needs and will open the door for this to happen. 

Thus the SECOND MIRACLE

Finally, my husband and I called the Doctor and spoke with him. It is nothing like just getting on your phone and calling up your doctor and having a regular conversation. The phone lines are not the easiest or clearest making it hard to carry on a "normal" conversation. What we did hear though was that her condition is really serious and that he cannot guarantee that she will recover completely. My heart is broken, yet I have to trust HIM who is able do to measurably more than I can ever imagine. Her life will be prolonged but she may not recover due to the damage already done. Had she seen the DR. 2  years ago she would be walking, according to what the doctor had said.  With this news we reached out to some of our friends with medical connections and have been able to get some feedback that they are willing to offer up second opinions. We are just now waiting to get a copy of the images...which is a whole other challenge in itself. How do you scan images from Nigeria, so that we can show these willing people to help us? I offered up a few solutions so let’s see if we can get something within the next few days. In the meantime we are praying that her quality of life does improve and exceeds expectation because God is able after all, and that she can withstand the surgery without complication.

Thus the THIRD MIRACLE
