Does anyone have any further insight to this CT Scan? We would love to hear from anyone who has knowledge about this sort of thing.

CT SCAN - NECK
Axial plain and CECT study of the neck done followed by multiplanar volume reconstruction:
The naso, oro and laryngo pharynx region appear normal with no definite mass lesions identified.
Parapharyngeal fat planes appear preserved.
Remaining underlying soft tissues including the tissue fat planes appear normal with no evidence of
abnormal soft tissue swelling or fluid collections identified.
The carotid and jugular vessels appear normal.
Styloid process appear normal bilaterally. Calcification / ossification seen along the bilateral proximal
stylohyoid ligament extending over a short segment (normal variant).
No significant lymph node enlargement identified.
No bony destruction seen.

1.6 x 2.2 x 2.4 cm possibly representing cord neoplasm (Advise- MRI Cervical spine for further

Samuel Ohaegbulam is Chief Neurosurgeon at Memfys Hospital. He graduated from Cairo University Medical School in 1967 with Honours, had his neurosurgical training in the United Kingdom including the famous Atkinson Hospital of St George’s Medical School, London. He had Microneurosurgery Training at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA and pioneered the neurosurgical service of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital. He joined the University of Nigeria as Lecturer 1 in 1974 and was promoted to full Professor in 1980. He was also Chief of Neurosurgery at the North West Armed Forces Hospital, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia from 1989 to 2001.

He held many positions in the University of Nigeria including, Head of Anatomy, Associate Dean of Medicine, Dean of Medicine and Deputy Vice Chancellor and Head of Enugu Campus of UNN.

He is the author of Geographical Neurosurgery, the First On-Line Book of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons USA as well as numerous Chapters in Books, Scientific Journals and Conference Proceedings. He is the Pioneer President of the African Federation of Neurosurgical Societies from 2007.

He has extensive experience in surgery of tumours of the brain and spinal cord and Spinal Surgery including Spinal Instrumentation.
