#day23 #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #MyStory : ME!!

 #day23

*diagnosed in 2016. Resharing my story to raise awareness.
We made it to the part of my story where I have completed my 6th round of heavy duty chemotherapy. I say that because this story is sort of just getting started.
I thank many of you who are reading along and sharing with hopes it may be of encouragement to others.
One thing that has dawned on me today is that if I asked you to comment "me" in the comments, if you have been effected by cancer either personally or have been close to someone who has, many of you would say "me."
More and more this is becoming a daily occurrence where I am learning of a new diagnosis. Just in the past week, I have gained new cancer sisters whom I have spoken to over the phone or in my dm's regarding their own recent diagnosis and looking for that support or to have someone to talk to that they know just "get's it."
That is the very reason why I share. I share because it is important to know that you are not alone.
I am so thankful for the relationships that have been built through this disease.
There have been many lessons learned, friendships made and lives touched because of my own diagnosis.
This sharing doesn't always come naturally to some. Some prefer to keep their circle close and to hold this journey very close to their heart. Others are very vocal and choose to spread it wide.
There is no wrong way of dealing with cancer. There is no right way or wrong way to grieve or to share or to not share.
Decisions that I made where mine and mine alone and what may have worked for me, may not be what works for you.
None of that matters.
What matters is that you know you are loved, supported, cared for and 100% not alone.
For me, as a teacher, it is in my bones to teach. It is the passion that I carry so deeply, to share my story so that others can learn from my experiences. I don't mind the questions or the conversations. Ask away!
Today I will leave this post with a space in the comments for you to say "me" if you so chose to. You can say "me" if you have been touched or effected by cancer in any way.
If that is not your way, that is okay too.
This picture I am sharing tonight, showed me that I was not alone. It is a powerful message and way that you can support those around you. Every act of support goes a long way! Thank you!!!
I'll be the first in the comments to say ME!
