*diagnosed in 2016. Resharing my story to spread awareness.
It was a super emotional day as one could only imagine.
The relief of the first part of chemo being over was overwhelming, but the looming results of getting scans a few weeks later was going to be the proof that I needed to know if the chemo did its job.
You can go into fight or flight mode when fighting cancer because you have no other choice. There is only one way forward and that is with one foot in front of the next.
But when you reach the end of one milestone in the cancer world, a million more await.
Here is my final cold capping video for round 6 of chemotherapy.
Rewatching this back, brought me to tears. My emotions were raw and authentic.
Here are my final moments of cold capping. The countdown!
You might need tissues for this one too. Pretty emotional for me to relive this one!
ALL DONE!!
I learned about cold capping through a google search and came across the most inspirational person who had walked this journey ahead of me. She lived in California and to me was the coolest cancer chic ever! I naturally messaged her on YouTube and soon we became sisters in the journey and she was my greatest inspiration. She knew how to have fun while cold capping so my dream was to be just like her.
Heather Keller McCarthy I will never forget this video that you and your husband sent to me on my last day of cold capping!
I love you so much for paving the way for me to have hope to save my hair just like you. I love that our lives are forever woven together!
